Alternative Volunteer Opportunities
With the Horses
Sidewalking and Horse Handling in lessons are the two key roles for volunteers at StirrUp Purpose. The Sidewalker works alongside the rider and assists them as needed through the lesson. The Horse Handler handles the horse to keep both rider and horse safe and happy.
We have many lesson volunteer needs throughout the week: Mon-Fri 9am-

Please read the Volunteer Manual (below), fill out an application (also below) and find a training (above) that works with your schedule. We will be in touch within 3 days of receiving your application.

Is your strength working with horses? Our herd needs both mounted and unmounted schooling to keep them happy and conditioned in order to provide the best services for our participants. Ideally, Schoolers also volunteer in lessons in order to understand the needs of a lesson horse. Please consider offering your time in both areas.
